      U.F.O

The leaves were wet, and melting,

As they walked along the path,

Holding hands together,

By the river flowing fast.

Then he turned to her, and whispered,

“Do you believe me now?”

As he pointed down below the tree-

To the mutilated cow.

The body splayed out before them,

The grass around it- red.

Holes poked through its abdomen,

And all throughout its head.

“What the hell did that?!” she said.

“What could it have been?

But hovering, above their heads,

Was the thing they never seen-

A spaceship disc, direct above,

Was hidden in a shroud.

There was a sudden boom, and then they saw it-

shoot into the clouds.
